Terms & Conditions



If you would like to make a booking for one of our activities please use our 'Contact Us' page. Please include your Name, contact details, the activity you wish to take part in, group size and your envisaged event date. If there is any other information you believe to be relevant to your booking please include this within your enquiry.


When booking, please plan ahead. We aim to accommodate all parties, however, some activities do require a longer period of time to plan and organise. Activities including ferry transportation and/or accommodation ideally require at least a months' notice prior to commencement to allow the logistical arrangements to be made. If you are looking to book during the summer months, we recommend giving a few months notice where possible.


In the event that the person booking an activity will not be present on the day, it is their responsibility to ensure all attendees are fully prepared (kit lists, terms & conditions, etc...). Failure to do so may mean a member of the group is not permitted to continue with the activity/course.





If any of our activities require pre-booked accommodation, this will be made clear in activity description and whether the cost for this will be included within the listed price for that activity or have to be paid for locally.


Dependant on availability and location, we may utilise or recommend a variety of hostels, guest houses and hotels. Any prices given will generally be based on two sharing in a hotel (double/twin room) or dorm accommodation in a hostel.





Once a booking has been made and all parties have agreed on the event details an invoice will be issued, usually via email detailing the cost of the activity and any optional extras.


Full payment for a given activity is required no later than four weeks prior to commencement. If a booking is made within this periods, full payment is required at the time of booking.


Payments are preferably to be made via Direct Bank Transfer. All the required details will be included within any issued invoice.


Payments through Paypal are also accepted. Please let Terra Via Adventures know if you would like to pay via this method. Please note, there is a 3.5% surcharge for Paypal payments. With prior arrangement/agreement, cheques and cash may also acceptable.



Deposit & Cancellations


Within the cost of each activity there is a deposit. This is charged at 10% for non residential activities and 20% for activities that require accommodation and/or transportation. This is to cover costs incurred upon unforced cancellations by the client.


Cancellations up to one month prior to the commencement date are eligible for a full refund (minus deposit).


Cancellations made up to two weeks prior to the commencement date are eligible for a 50% refund.


Cancellations within two weeks of the commencement date are not eligible for a refund. We recommend you take out travel, cancellation & curtailment insurance to cover these costs.


For extenuating circumstances we are happy to discuss the potential of rescheduling an event. Please contact Terra Via Adventures as soon as possible if there are any issues with a booking to discuss all available options.


If the activity is cancelled by Terra Via Adventures, for any reason, we will offer a full refund (including deposit).


Any refunds will be paid in the same manner as original payment.



Health & Safety


With all of our activities we aim to minimise the risks as best possible. All staff are trained to the appropriate level to run the relevant activities and will always strive to minimise any objective dangers. However, the mountains are an inherently dangerous place and all attendees to Terra Via Adventures activities must also take some responsibility for their own safety, following all safety instructions given by Terra Via Adventures staff.


If attendees, at any time, feel uncomfortable or at risk it is their responsibility to bring this to the guide/leaders attention who can adapt the activities accordingly.


Terra Via Adventures reserves the right to refuse any participants on the grounds of ill-preparation or poor fitness for the desired activity, or if their actions & manner place themselves or others at risk.


Terra Via Adventures does not accept responsibility for the personal belongings of attendees. We recommend you take out travel, cancellation & curtailment insurance to protect any valuables you may have.




All under 18's must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the entirety of our activities.





Any photos taken by Terra Via Adventures during any given activity will be uploaded to a online sharing service and forwarded to the attendees of the activity using the given email addresses.


Terra Via's Use of Photos


Terra Via Adventures may wish to use a photo with a client in frame on our website or on social media. By joining a Terra Via ADventures activity it is assumed you give permission for this to happen. If you do not wish to have any potential photos used please express this while booking.


No client-taken photos will be used for corporate use without the express permission of the copyright owner.
