National 3 Peaks

The big three a little differently...

Many people attempt this over 24 hours and we applaud their determination, however, we have taken the decision to spread this event over three days and doing things a little differently.

By spreading the adventure over three days this allows everyone to truly enjoy each of these magnificant mountains during daylight hours and helps protect the beautiful mountain environment through minimising footpath erosion and noise pollution during the evening.

We normally kick-off with Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales and with beautiful views across Snowdonia and the Llyn Peninsula it is a lovely way start the adventure. Day two we will head for the Lake District and Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England, before finishing the three days with the big one...Ben Nevis; the highest mountain in the United Kingdom and with a stunning 360 degree summit panorama it is a fantastic way to round off the adventure before enjoying a wee victory dram in Fort William.

To enhance the experience of these famous mountains we will take different routes to the normal, often over crowded, tourist trails, taking in some of the less utilised paths to the top of these magnificent peaks. The exact route can be tailored to the group, so please talk to us at the time of booking regarding your experience and we will do our best to create the best trip possible.

The Mountains

Snowdon, 1085m - The highest mountain the UK outside of Scotland and with numerous routes to the summit, Snowdon is one of the most popular mountains in the British Isles and deservedly so. There are still a few quiet footpaths to the had though!

Scafell Pike, 978m - Although the smallest of the 3 peaks, Scafell Pike is still the highest mountain in England and should not be under estimated, however, giving beautiful views across the Lake District and the Irish Sea makes it all worth the effort!

Ben Nevis, 1344m - The highest mountain in the British Isles and the popular monster of the Scottish Highlands. With spectacular views across the surrounding area and out towards the wstern isles, Ben Nevis is a fantastic way to either begin or end your journey!
