Below is a rough guide to how our difficulty rating system works for the guided walks, treks and cycle tours we offer.
These are relativistic gradings based on our catalogue of activities and we accept there will be some subjectivity from person to person. If you are at all worried about the terrain of a specific walk or ride, or your fitness level, please contact us to discuss the available options.

6 - Easy to moderate mountainous terrain using pathed and off path routes with the potential for steeper sections and/or significant ascent.
7 - Moderate to rough mountainous terrain, using pathed and off path routes with the potential for steeper sections and/or significant ascent.
8 - Rough mountainous terrain with the potential to be in remote areas and have significant ascents with the possibility of short near vertical sections but with the option to avoid any difficulties if required.
9 - Significant ascents, remote environments and/or very rough terrain, up to vertical in section, but with options to avoid the worst difficulties.
10 - Significant ascents, remote environments and/or very rough terrain, up to vertical in section, with little option to avoid any difficulties.
